On Monday I was asked to make a simple interactive PDF flyer that needed to be done by Friday. They were unable to provide text right away but since I’m fairly familiar with the company, I agreed to wing the text for the time being. By the end of the day, I sent them a mockup.
Client: The flyer looks great! Most of the text works but I’ll send you what needs to be changed.
I don’t receive the text until Wednesday morning. I update the text and resend, but I don’t hear back until around close of business on Thursday
Client: The flyer looks great but this text you have in here isn’t working. It needs to be changed.
Me: But it’s the text you sent me.
Client: I know, but you put it in there.
Me: Ok, what needs to be changed?
Client sends me revised text on Friday morning, I update the text and resend.
Client: You got the text right this time. However, the design needs work. It doesn’t look very professional. Can you change it up? It needs more angles and better pictures.
Me: I’m confused. You said the design was great and the only pictures in the flyer are the ones you sent me.
Client: Yeah, but we need better ones and I changed my mind about the design. Also, is there a way to create a short video with interviews of our clients talking about their experience with our program? We need to add it to the interactive flyer.
Me: There’s definitely not enough time to create a video for this. It can be done but the deadline would need to be later.
Client: But it’s just a short video. You can have that done by the end of the day, right?
