Me: I’m just checking in on your feedback for the draft of the ad I sent you.
Client: It was perfect, so I just passed it on to the newspaper.
Me: But there were unpurchased stock photos in it with watermarks spread across them. Plus it was a very low resolution file which won’t look good printed.
Client: Well, next time you need to be more clear and let me know that it was just a draft.
Me: I explained quite clearly in the email.
Client: Oh. I skipped over all that and just looked at the attachment. Put it in the subject next time.
Me: The subject was “Draft Attached.” It was the first word!
