I just finished a website and invited the client to the office for a final sign-off.
Client: How big is it?
Me: It’s optimized for resolutions at 1024×800.
Client: What does that mean in plain English?
Me: It’s the number of pixels displayed on the screen.
Client: I don’t do pixels. How big would it be if I printed it off?
Me: That’s not really how websites are measured, I don’t know how –
Client: What do you mean you don’t know? How many centimeters is it?
The client picks up a ruler and places it on the screen.
Client: See, it’s not difficult. It’s 21-centimeters tall.
