I was working for a group of doctors that needed a billboard. This was a project I sort of inherited after several other people worked on it, so it was already a Frankenstein’s monster situation. It was an entirely blue background with a few bits of white text.
Client: Make the color of the web address red so it stands out more.
Me: Are you sure? The colors will clash and be more difficult to read, especially while driving.
Client: Humor us.
The design was packaged up and sent to the client who sent it to the printer. The client comes back a few days later…
Client: The printer said they can’t print the design with the red text because the colors vibrate too much. What should we do?
Me: How about changing the red text to white?
Client: Are you sure that will work?
Me: Humor me.
